Two certifications in one continuous programme. Eleven dives from 40m to 100m. Complete the full SSI XR recreational tec depth range without the overhead of booking two separate courses.
The SSI XR Hypoxic Trimix 80 and 100 combo runs both courses as a single continuous 6-day programme under one instructor. Progression dives at the end of the Trimix 80 section feed directly into the start of the Trimix 100 section - several dives serve dual purposes, reducing total gas consumption and time compared to booking the courses separately. You receive your Trimix 80 card on Day 3 and your Trimix 100 card on Day 6.
The combo is structured for divers who hold SSI Technical Extended Range Trimix (60m) and are committed to the full XR tec depth range. The training is continuous - there is no administrative reset between the two courses. A single instructor plans all 11 dives, manages your decompression profile progression, and tracks your CNS oxygen accumulation across the entire programme.

Both the Trimix 80 and Trimix 100 cards are issued during this programme - Trimix 80 on Day 3, Trimix 100 on Day 6.
The 6-day programme is structured as two three-day blocks. A rest day between blocks is recommended but not mandatory. Certification dive days are fixed - the 80m dive on Day 3 and the 100m dive on Day 6.
Two dives. Equipment configuration verification and first trimix use. Decompression procedure rehearsal. Gas switch practice at recreational depth before progressing.
Two dives into extended range territory. Multi-gas profiles with Trimix 12/65, EAN50, and O2. Decompression management, narcosis assessment, CNS tracking.
One dive. Full hypoxic trimix profile to 80m.
Two dives with Trimix 10/70 bottom gas. First exposure to leaner hypoxic mix. Extended decompression obligations - approximately 35-45 minutes in water. CNS management across two dives.
Two dives. Refine 90m decompression execution, then extend to 95m. Final instructor sign-off before 100m certification dive.
Two dives: a final warm-up at 95m followed by the 100m certification dive.
The first five dives complete the Trimix 80 certification. Dives 6-11 build directly on that foundation for Trimix 100. The progression is seamless - no reset, no duplication.
First trimix dive. Configuration verification, gas switch practice, decompression rehearsal.
Multi-gas profile to 50m. First significant decompression obligation. Narcosis and HPNS awareness at 50m.
Full three-gas profile to 60m. Approximately 15-20 minutes of decompression. Introduction to extended stop management.
Full hypoxic trimix profile with 20-30 minutes of planned decompression. HPNS symptom awareness.
The Trimix 80 qualifying dive. Gas plan signed off the night before. SSI XR Hypoxic Trimix 80 card issued on successful completion.
Confirm Trimix 80 proficiency before extending. Introduction to TX 10/70 handling for subsequent dives.
First TX 10/70 profile. Pre-breathe protocol from EAN50 before switching. Approximately 35-45 minutes of decompression.
Refine decompression execution and HPNS management at 90m. Sign-off required before 100m dive.
Penultimate deep dive. Full multi-gas profile to 95m with extended decompression. Final assessment before 100m.
Final preparation dive on Day 6 before the certification dive. Confirm gas reserves, decompression profile, and conditions.
The final qualifying dive. Gas plan prepared and signed off the evening before. SSI XR Hypoxic Trimix 100 card issued on completion.
The combo programme uses four gases across its 11 dives. The bottom gas changes at Day 4 when the Trimix 100 section begins. All gases are prepared and analysed at diveshack before each day of diving.
Hypoxic bottom gas for the Trimix 80 section. Pre-breathe from EAN50 below 6m on descent.
Leaner hypoxic mix for the Trimix 100 section. Higher helium fraction reduces narcosis and HPNS risk at extreme depth.
Travel gas used throughout the programme. Surface to 21m on descent and from 21m on ascent. Mandatory switch point.
Decompression gas at 6m and 3m stops. CNS tracking is cumulative across the full 6-day programme.
The combo programme uses the Trimix 100 equipment standard from day one. Two stage cylinders are required throughout.
eLearning access for both SSI XR Hypoxic Trimix 80 and 100. Complete theory for both courses before the programme begins.
All trimix 12/65, trimix 10/70, EAN50, and O2 fills across all 11 dives. Four gases, two bottom mixes, one programme.
All 11 dives from diveshack's tec dive vessel. Sites selected each day for the optimal depth and conditions at that stage of the programme.
SSI XR Hypoxic Trimix 80 issued Day 3. SSI XR Hypoxic Trimix 100 issued Day 6.
The combo programme uses the Trimix 80 entry requirements - SSI Technical Extended Range Trimix (60m) or equivalent. If you already hold Trimix 80 and want to complete only the Trimix 100 section, see the individual Trimix 100 course page.
If you hold SSI XR Hypoxic Trimix 80 already, you can enrol directly in the Trimix 100 course without repeating the first five dives.
