What You Will Learn – Course Curriculum
The SSI Divemaster Course is designed to develop your leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and dive management expertise. Over the duration of the course, you will cover:
1. SSI Standards & Dive Leadership

2. Guiding Certified Divers

What Can You Do as an SSI Divemaster?
Upon certification, you will be qualified to:
Supervise & Guide Certified Divers:
- Plan, organize, and lead recreational dives for certified divers.
- Conduct SSI Try Scuba experiences in confined water under an instructor’s supervision.
- Assist SSI Instructors during Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, and Specialty Courses.
- Conduct SSI Scuba Skills Update courses for certified divers who need a refresher.
Assist in Training Courses:
- Work closely with SSI Instructors during training sessions.
- Help student divers master essential scuba skills.
- Supervise divers in confined and open water environments.
Prepare for SSI Instructor Training:
- This course is the stepping stone to the SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC).

Course Prerequisites
To enrol in the SSI Divemaster Course, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Hold an SSI Advanced Open Water (or equivalent).
- Be certified as an SSI Diver Stress & Rescue diver (or equivalent).
- Have a minimum of 40 logged dives totalling at least 40 hours.
- Hold a valid First Aid & CPR certification (issued within the last 24 months).
- Have a valid diving medical certificate (issued within the last 12 months).
If you do not meet these prerequisites, we offer additional training to help you qualify before starting your Divemaster course.
