Booking terms, cancellation policy, and conditions of service. Last updated: April 2026.
These terms apply to all bookings made with diveshack Malta, operated by Underwater Enterprises Ltd (Company C14111), 20 Qui Si Sana Seafront, Sliema SLM 3111, Malta. VAT: MT1228-4802. MTA Licence: DIVE/0022.
A deposit of 50% of the total booking value is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
The remaining balance is due and payable in full on arrival at diveshack, before the commencement of your course or guided dives.
For all SSI certification courses, the SSI eLearning fee is a separate charge payable directly to SSI at the time of eLearning enrolment. This fee is not included in the diveshack course fee unless explicitly stated. eLearning fees are non-refundable once the course materials have been accessed.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to info@divemalta.com. Verbal cancellations are not accepted. Contact us by telephone to confirm receipt if required.

If you cancel within 5 days of your start date, no refund will be issued. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers dive course cancellation. diveshack accepts no liability for costs arising from cancellation due to weather, medical grounds, or personal circumstances.
No refund is available on SSI eLearning fees or printed course materials once they have been accessed or issued.
diveshack reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any dive or course due to unsafe sea conditions, adverse weather, equipment failure, or circumstances outside our control. In such cases, we will offer a full reschedule or a full refund of the affected session. We accept no liability for associated travel or accommodation costs.
All equipment required for guided dives and courses is provided unless otherwise stated at the time of booking. See our Equipment & What's Included page for full details.
Divers are responsible for any damage to or loss of diveshack equipment caused by negligence or misuse. Damage and losses will be charged at full replacement value. Normal wear and tear is excluded. You will be informed of any charge before it is applied.
All participants must complete the SSI Medical Statement before entering the water. This form asks you to self-declare any medical conditions that may affect your fitness to dive. See our Medical & Fitness to Dive page for full guidance.
If you have any condition that requires a medical clearance letter, this must be obtained from a qualified diving physician before your course or dive. diveshack reserves the right to refuse participation to any person whose fitness to dive is in question.
Participants must be at least 10 years old to enter any SSI course. Minimum age requirements vary by course level.
diveshack operates a maximum of 5 divers per guide on all guided dives. This limit is non-negotiable and applies regardless of group size at the time of booking.
All participants must follow the instructions of the assigned diveshack instructor or divemaster at all times. diveshack reserves the right to remove any diver from the water whose behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others, without refund.
Malta's sea conditions can change quickly. diveshack monitors conditions before every dive and may alter the planned site, depth, or dive format if safety requires it. Dive site substitution is not grounds for a refund. Full cancellations due to conditions are refunded or rescheduled in full.
diveshack and Underwater Enterprises Ltd accept no liability for loss, damage, or injury sustained during activities unless directly caused by the proven negligence of diveshack staff. Scuba diving is an activity that carries inherent risk. All participants accept those risks by participating.
diveshack holds full liability insurance as required under Malta Tourism Authority licence DIVE/0022.
