Get Certified! Take up scuba diving with the PADI National Geographic Diver Course.

Get your PADI scuba certification. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.

The PADI National Geographic Diver course includes the full PADI Open Water Diver course, which is the world’s most popular scuba course and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle, and focuses on even better buoyancy control skills.

PADI National Geographic Divers are an elite group of divers who are more than tourists, but explorers, adventurers and conservationists.

The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll make at least five pool dives, four open water dives at local dive sites & an exploration project always under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

What You Learn:

  • How much fun scuba diving is
  • Scuba diving equipment considerations for your local diving environment
  • How to plan, and execute actual dives
  • How to prevent and manage problems
  • How to observe your surroundings to get the best experience from each dive
  • How to make the least impact on the underwater environment
The PADI National Geographic Diver course extends the PADI Open Water Diver course...

  • Practical experience by gathering information and collecting images to create a visual representation of a dive site, detailing what you’ve discovered through your observations
  • Improved underwater navigation skills and ability to find your way around underwater by using a compass as well as natural references
  • You’ll be introduced to a multitude of aquatic species and be able to identify local plants and animals

The PADI National Geographic Diver course consists of four main phases:

  1. Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom ) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  2. Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  3. Open Water Dives to apply the skills you learnt in confined water.
  4. Exploration project
If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI National Geographic Diver course certification.

*The National Geographic Crew Pack includes the National Geographic Binder, Almanac & DVD as well as the PADI Open Water Diver Manual, RDP table & log book.
